Aguua viva

Water being one of the five classical elements. Among many other definitions, it’s a source for life, a resonating medium, a geo- and sociopolitically contested resource, a poetic entity, a scientifically significant field of investigation and, not least, all living creatures are made up of at minimum 50% water.

The aim of the exhibition is to include works by artists who in one way or another address the above along with an intention to examine the overlap between ancient knowledge as it meets contemporary society. This endeavour includes notions of the archaic, mythical and allegorical while hinting at possible future scenarios.
